Jetty Cat3:00 PMRace (Unofficial)OB Rides @ob_rides_Here’s the deal.
An ode to the beloved feral cats that populate the jetties around San Diego.
If you’ve never taken part in an alley cat, or don’t know what it means, this one is for you!
If you don’t want to compete you can always come eat snacks and talk about how rad bikes are. Expect to ride around 15 miles. Maybe more, maybe less. It’ll ultimately be up to you! Any type of bike is welcome, but the points are evenly spread so that the winner will have to complete a good mix of puzzles and athletic segments to win.
Winner receives the golden lobster bouy.
Team style alley cat going down. Pick your partner ahead of time, or be assigned one randomly when you show up. The manifest will involve an even split of athletic tasks (ie: ride to X location) and scavenger hunt style tasks. Teams do not have to stick together, but there will be checkpoints where it would come in handy to be with your partner. Bring a phone to take photos for some of the stations!
Meeting up at dog beach “yard” between the parking lot and spray st. This will be the start and end point! We’ll start at 3pm sharp, and you’ll have 2.5 hours to complete everything on the manifest. 5:30pm will be the hard cutoff!
After that, we’ll be grilling up TJ dogs and making elote, so come hungry!
Ps. Since we’ll be hanging at a busy beach, bring a coozie or a water bottle to put yer beers in. dog beach “yard” between the parking lot and spray st.Details on IG.
