And for the third year in a row we’re leaning into the Mushroom Kingdom vibe super hard. Item values have been buffed, nerfed, and evened out so that everyone has a chance, even @johnburrowsracing ! The prix for 2026 is again 3 courses, but with some classic Mario Kart twists added. Meet us on Tuesday Mar10 7pm at the intersection of Mission and Alabama. $10 to register, podium takes all! The first course will be 7 laps around the Mission Hourglass, and racers will have the option to grab an item (once per lap) in the form of a random clothespin hanging on a string somewhere near the edge of the course. Scores will be tallied starting with last place, and then we’ll ride as a group to Morley Field for the second race. Racers will blow up 3 balloons each and attach them to their seats. During the 9 laps around the parking lot you’ll need to defend your balloons from other racers trying to pop or steal balloons from you. A final ride to western balboa park will pit racers against eachother in 3 hot laps around the fruit loop. Points will be tallied from all 3 races and a podium will take their prizes.
