Lights in the Heights Tour5:30 PMFamily RideUniversity Heights Community Association @universityheights_sdcommunityJoin us for the fourth annual University Heights Lights in the Heights Tour on Sunday, December 14th at 5:30 PM. Tour the festive holiday lights our neighbors put up around University Heights on foot (walking), running, or on bike. Meet at Trolley Barn Park to tour all holiday light contest entry homes and vote online for the best, most creative, and wackiest lights of the season. Wear your most festive holiday outfits, dress warmly, and equip your bike/person with holiday lights + spirit! Jingle bells, holiday tunes, and glow sticks will be provided.
The tour, whether walking, running, or biking, is open to all ages and all skill levels (including furry friends in baskets!). The route will be approximately 3-4 miles long and generally takes between 1-1.5 hours to complete. The tour will feature a hot cocoa stop midway through at Santa’s Workshop. Be sure to dress warmly and light up your bikes/clothing/hats with festive lights.
Those who would like to bike the route will join UHCA and Nice-n-Easy @niceneasy_sd bike club in the first group that leaves the park. Those interested in running the route will leave in the second group, led by Sunday Runday Club @sundayrundayclub & Mission Hills Run Club @missionhillsrunclub. For those who would like to walk the route, join our UHCA walking lead in the last group that leaves from the park. Be sure to register for the appropriate group so that we have an accurate headcount for each.
Don’t have a bike or can’t join us on the ride for whatever reason? Join in the fun by cheering us on outside of your festively decorated home! We will be touring the neighborhood from 5:45 - 7:15 PM moving west, then south, then looping back to Trolley Barn Park from the east.
Join us at Cheer’s @cheersbarsandiego after the tour to enjoy discounted drinks, chat about your favorite houses, and vote online for your favorites.
